WHY DIDN'T MICKEY OR FIONA JUST FUCKING BEAT SAMMI'S FACE IN?!?!?!
Seriously! Ian had nothing to do with anything, actually most of the Gallaghers had nothing to do with anything related to Carl and Chuckie's situation other than upholding the South Sides rule not to snitch. Sammi should know this shit. And I guess I can sort of understand how she's squatting in the Gallagher home since Fiona is preoccupied and the rest of them are just apathetic, but that last scene, Sammi just waltzes back into the house like she didn't just piss off an extremely dangerous ex-criminal with an arsenal of stolen guns. Nah bitch, you best run as fast as you can. If the next episode doesn't begin with mickey going ape shit I will be very disappointed.
Also noteworthy Mickey and Ian's conversation about meds diarrhea. Too great and also too true.
Obviously we can't have Ian and Mickey happy for more than one episode. That would just be too easy.
On the flip side of that. Finally Lip is getting the slaps in the face he needs. After the admittedly deus ex machina outcome to his tuition woes, Lip has the world in the palm of his hand basically, two hot women he can bang on the regular who are casual and cool with the situation, although Amanda's reaction might not bode well for him, she might be cool with seeing other people but she expected to be his number one bitch, not a backseat bitch, I feel you Amanda. I initially didn't like her but she's growing on me. I will say one thing, Lip does look like a Shiele painting, but as far as modern(ish) art goes, he ain't my favorite obscure reference but that's neither here nor there...
I'm starting to see Frank's storyline come together. I actually really like Bianca, I hope to see a little more of her but I feel like we need to see more of Frank with the rest of the family, especially since he's more responsible for the Carl/Chuckie outcome and deserves Sammi's wrath more than anyone.
Fiona—ugh I'm so tired of her shit. Pick someone or stop being monogamous. You don't need to be a one guy girl if that's not how you're built, I wish the writers would establish something like that for her because that would solve all her problems with relationships if she could just nut up and ask for an open relationship (like Lip's professor).
[Sigh] and Debbie... Debbie Debbie Debbie... she used to be such a young wise character and now she is just a cliche character. It's such a shame since she was an open book with such potential I hate that the writers went down this weird naively sexual road with her story. It makes me uncomfortable. At the very least I'm glad they had a brief and entertaining confirmation of consent before the fact. That is how you talk about sex for the first time with your partner! I'm glad they established that. But goddammit the whole trying to get pregnant on purpose thing is just annoying as hell.
Although I'm not happy about Kev and V's story so far this season I'm glad this episode ended for them the way it did. If they legitimately split up I don't know if I'd keep watching.
In my-leg news: I am starting to put weight on it and trying to get it to straighten, which is hard. Every week is immensely different from the previous one so I feel like I'm on the right track to recovery both mentally and physically.
