At my therapist’s suggestion, during our temporary hiatus from sessions, I am reading several books about mindfulness and meditation. Note: I am not actually supposed to do any mindful meditation, as assignments make me bitchy and resistant. Just the reading.

Some of you may know that I recently completed at 200 hour yoga teacher training. Our teacher-trainer was a big fan of mindful meditation, and incorporated some of the Buddhist meditation techniques into the framework of what exists in yoga. I really liked her and wanted to be into it, but I’ve got a lot of stuff going on, so I sort of clawed at it but made no real headway.

In a bit of wonderful timing, as I completed my first mindfulness reading, last week, and was feeling intrigued ... she shared this with the caption, “Sometimes, I wish I could teach meditation this way.”
