Here he is looking terrified of the camera.
He's my little dude. I've had him since I was 18. His name is Zippy Kanye (my friend who helped me set up his cage insisted I name him Kanye. INSISTED). He's about 4 years old now, which is apparently towards the end of his life span.
He hasn't been eating or drinking, and he's just kinda chillin there. Last night he was wheezing, and around his eyes is all crusty/gooey. He's also shedding like crazy. AND he somehow managed to break his front tooth.
So I took him to the vet today, and the vet was like there's kind of a 50/50 chance here. He gave me antibiotics and I have to give them to Zippy twice a day as well as 50mg of liquid Vitamin C every day, and the vet is going to call me tomorrow and see how he's doing. He said half the time the pigs just snap back to normal and are fine, but the other half of the time, well...yeah.
We got home about an hour ago and he was moving around a bit. I gave him his medicine which he didn't appreciate. He seemed to take a bite or two of his food and some sips of water, now he's just sleeping again.
My pet lizard died last summer, and I really don't want this to be a recurring theme every August.
