Edit: A FORMAL OFFER IS COMING LATER THIS WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!
It's a salary cut, since it's not an oil company, but we would live somewhere way better, and Beau prefers the work environment to where he was before. Beau also mentioned to the interviewer that he'd like to negotiate on vacation time, since this company's policy is for new employees to accrue vacation, at only two weeks/year for five years. Beau was getting three weeks at his previous company. I get 25 sick/personal/vacation days, which I prefer using with my husband.
Beau is in the other room with a follow-up phone interview. He had the initial phone interview before Thanksgiving, and this company flew him in for an in-person interview before Christmas.
The in-person interview lasted six hours, which we think is a good sign.
But it sounds like this guy is grilling him because Beau's company fired him. Which I mentioned before we have a lawyer fighting for a severance package.
I need all positive vibes, happy thoughts, and prayers right now. This job could be a really good fit, and we could live closer to my parents.
He's no longer grilling Beau... He's describing a potential offer.
