It's done. It's over.
Turns out the couple buying it were not causing problems with the money. The bank was holding their funds for them (mortgage and first grant) and refused to give them the money to buy until the second grant came through, even though the couple was telling them to forget it so they could buy it already. The poor couple got evicted from their apartment and were sleeping on the floor of the wive's mother's house. They were pushing to get this done as much as we were - everything bad that happened fell on the bank.
But, yeah. It's done. We can go food shopping now. We can pay our rent now. We can look for a new, bigger home now. We can get haircuts now. We can take Sebastian to the vet for the rest of his shots now. We can buy our bills and not worry about the car insurance, phones, or electricity being shut off.
It's been a long road but we're finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
I'm going to miss that house.
