i made banana oatcakes and breakfast sausages for the gluten-free crowd. they topped the oatcakes with home-canned cinnamon apple slices.
i made frozen fish fillets for the older kids and myself. i made a sandwich with mine, using the honeyed tomato butter i made this past summer instead of mayo or ketchup (i hate tarter sauce). it was tasty.
i've also got a pot of turkey soup simmering on the back of the stove. that will be tomorrow night's dinner. we roasted a turkey on NYE, and best friend and i split the stock we made from the carcass when i went home. so, 3 1/2 quarts of turkey stock, a pound of cooked ground turkey (there was practically nothing left of the original bird), a sliced onion, some sliced celery, a couple handfuls of baby carrots, and a whole lot of herbs and spices are starting to make a yummy smell...
