So I was supposed to meet up with some coworkers at the Ren Faire today since we’re taking our students this Friday. I didn’t end up going and low-key feel that this is by design. There were 4 of us going. I emailed yesterday about carpooling. One coworker never replied to the email thread even though part of her job is literally to check her email every few minutes. The other 2 are close friends and had a mutual birthday party to go to, so they didn’t want to carpool. They also never told me when they were planning on getting there—keep in mind it’s a 2 hour drive. I texted the coordinator of the whole thing this morning to see when I should head out and she didn’t respond til an hour later when I found out all three of them had carpooled and were already on the freeway. I feel that I was purposely left out, but of course I have no clue how to approach this when I'm forced to be around them at work come Monday. I suck at confrontation and am super anti-social because I seem to be a magnet for this type of flakiness. Sigh . . . this is why I've made no friends in adulthood.
