Cops do NOT arrest criminals. They are people who are suspected of breaking the law. By thinking you arrest criminals it means you have determined their guilt. That is NOT your job. Judges and juries decide that. You are stripping them of innocent until proven guilty. Sadly this mentality is probably common and probably contributes a lot to police brutality and killings since the pol8ce believe those they arrest are criminals it just invites the cops to inflict punishment.

We need a simple rule “cops make an arrest then their name along with who they arrest are published for public knowledge.”. Only transparency may reduce the number of police killing unarmed people or beating them.
