There's a commenter on the Terry Richardson article on the MP who I'm sorely tempted to rage at. Below are some choice gems from somebody is either an epic troll or who doesn't get it...

Who has EVER taught you to just take it?

Where I'm from, the girls are taught to FIGHT BACK.

Yes, you shouldn't have to fight back, but I shouldn't have to own a gun for self-defense.

Sometimes, the only thing that'll stop a pervert or a scumbag, is a key to the eyeball, or a 1-2 bullet to the chest.

Don't be a victim.

When called out on this by a commenter whose friend was the victim of domestic violence and sexual violence by her partner who threatened to kill the victim and her children:

and she couldn't call the police? and she couldn't tell anyone?

After having it explained repeatedly that the onus should not be on women to defend themselves and that it sounds like victim blaming when one says things like "don't be a victim!" (not to mention that one cannot always fight back for any number of reasons):

I still do think that if women empowered themselves with self-defense, the scumbags would learn respect, the hard way.

Half of me wants to engage to try to educate and the other half of me wants to rend the numpkin. Wat do?
