I'm not sure if this has been shared to GT yet but I thought it was an interesting (albeit short) article because I know there are many people here with varying levels of self-esteem and anxiety.
For many this may simply read as validation of what we already know. When people with low self-esteem are told that the object of their anxiety is no big deal, it doesn't make them feel better. It makes them feel worse. It's nice that a study was actually held about the effects of these sort of comments or attitudes on different type of people. Seeing as this is something I'm struggling with in my life too, this offers some nice validation.
