Welcome To The Bitchery

Suddenly: Dog!

Opened the garage door at work and this little guy darted in. He's been standing at the rear door to the building (located in the garage) ever since, trying to be let in. No collar, no tags, and none of the neighbors seem to recognize him. He's friendly enough, sudden movements in his direction make him skittish, but he did let me sit down next to him and pet him for a bit.

Not sure what we're going to do with him. We can't really bring him inside right now because we're about to have a funeral (plus we don't know if he's housebroken). So I guess the options at the moment are close him in the garage and deal with him later (take him to the local shelter? Put a "found dog" ad on craigslist?) or leave the garage door open and see if he decides to move along. Not keen on either, but not sure what else to do. Thoughts? Also, can anyone tell me the breed?

ETA: the concern with leaving him in the garage is that it's a hot day, the garage is poorly ventilated, and with the funeral we can't take him anywhere for at least four hours.
