I just watched this documentary Sunday In Brazzaville. It is about three events going on in Congo's capitol: a meeting up sapeurs, a rapper trying to record his first album, and a boxer fighting to reclaim his title. This documentary really shows a side of African life that I am rarely exposed to. I find all three stories compelling in their own way, and I wish more stories of this side of Africa was told than nothing but stories of hunger and violence. It's a huge part in seeing a place and it's people as human beings instead of concepts we can force our guilt on.I would really recommend it, though there are some minor scenes may be disturbing. Here are a few more links regarding the documentary.
