It appeared from the latest Duolingo club post that there was a need for a GT Spanish club so I started a new one. GrupoLingo, code BVTZ63. Nos vemos!
As a reminder, this is probably the last week of Duolingo postings. (It also refuses to save the owl picture in this post. *shakes fist at Kinja*)
Short version: I’m going to be letting Kinja Duolingo go at the end of the year.
Good luck to everyone trying to keep up a streak while travelling this week! Here’s your weekly leaderboard.
Happy Sunday, Duolinguists! Here’s your weekly leaderboard.
Hot damn, it’s already November. Here’s your weekly leaderboard!
Happy almost-Halloween, Duolinguists! Here’s your weekly leaderboard.
Words? Words. Word.
No question this week because I’m lazy, but here’s your leaderboard. Carry on.
This is a long weekend for me, because my workplace closes for the weird faux-holiday that is Columbus Day. Question of the week: What’s your favorite holiday that’s celebrated in a country whose language you’re learning? Or the weirdest one, if you prefer.
Welcome to October, everyone! This week’s question can be about Duolingo, or it can be about anything else: There are three months left in 2016. What do you want to get done?
Exciting news—Duolingo is now offering Hebrew, Hungarian, Greek, and Vietnamese! Czech and Swahili are supposedly “coming soon.” This week’s question: Are you planning on starting any of the new languages? Or is there a language would you like to learn that Duolingo still doesn’t have?
This week’s question: Do you plan on using your second (or third, or fourth) language anytime soon? Or are you just learning for the fun of it?
Happy three-day weekend for those of you with tomorrow off! And happy Sunday for everyone else! This week’s question, since half of the US seems to be travelling this weekend: Do you keep up on Duolingo when you’re travelling? Do you try? Or do you take a break, in the spirit of vacationing?
Hey look, an on-time leaderboard! Your question of the week: Do you have any opportunities to practice whatever language(s) you’re learning in real life? Or are you just talking to your computer/yourself/your cat?
Wow, I suck at this. Sorry about that. In the spirit of me missing the leaderboard two weeks in a row, here’s your Question of the Week: What’s been distracting you lately? (Either from Duolingo or just generally.)
Important announcement time. About a third of you are showing up in the rankings under your real names all of a sudden. I think I changed all of them for this week, but do me a favor and check your account. If you go to “Your Profile” (not your settings), there’s a space marked “fullname”—I think that’s what it’s…
It’s too damn hot today and I’m tired, so I’m farming this week’s question out to you all. What Question of the Week would you like to see here? Anything you’ve been wanting to talk about with the Kinja Duolingo community?
Sorry for missing another leaderboard last Sunday—but the good news is that we have more names on the leaderboard than usual this week! In that spirit: What new thing—or old thing you’ve been slacking on—are you trying to do lately? Are you trying out new recipes? Have you gotten back into an old hobby? Are you…
We’re halfway through the year! Let’s consider this a re-introduction post. This week, let us know what language you’re learning and—whether you’ve been with us all six months or you’re just starting—how you’re doing. And if you’ve been considering joining in, now is the perfect time!
