They’re working on that study of period cramps, comparing some to a heart attack. Mine are definitely not that bad. What do your cramps feel like?
So, it happened. I admit, I was curious how I got away without it for so long.
Today, in the restroom at the office, I went to adjust my bra and the underwire snapped in three. The bra is only two (maybe three?) years old. Maybe that’s old? Either way. I have one broken underwire and my right boob is feeling very unsupported right now.
To all of you ladies (which I assume is quite a lot of you) who have experienced actual period cramps over the years.
During Comedy Central's biennial Night of Too Many Stars benefit for New York Collaborates for Autism, Weird Al Yankovic and 13-year-old autistic singer Jodi DiPiazza performed a stunning rendition of the classic "Yoda" that moved me to tears.
TMI WARNING: Poop
I've had to be three people this week. They exist separately, in spaces that I'm better off keeping discrete for the sake of my own health. There's the guy who checks in at Kotaku and acts like nothing's wrong. There's the father who makes sure his kid is smiling and growing as much as possible. And there's the black…
Had my Cardiology appointment this morning. Another morning of starvation, and shaving of areas I'd never had shaved before. I was sedated for the procedure itself, so the feeling of a tiny camera being pushed into my wrist vein kinda blurred.
I'm a new member of the diva cup cult. I had NO IDEA how much blood/material my pads were holding. The commercials need to use more blue fluid.
So, a few weeks ago I went in to see my doctor about a fall that led to some swelling in my chest and uneven man boobs. I was x-rayed and prescribed a few days of painkillers to reduce the swelling, and he sent me to a cardiologist to check some slight irregularities in my ECG.
I've never had this problem before, which I guess makes me lucky because apparently it's incredibly common. Some women apparently have these regularly, and I read that it can occur repeatedly as a side effect of chemotherapy, which just seems incredibly unfair. So I get that things could be worse but it's hard to put…
Hello, hivemind: I am here. I exist. I'm feeling that vague, drifty depression I always get just after the school year ends. Here's a heavy metal song:
So I didn't get a whole lot of sleep last night. My therapist wants me to try going to bed by 10pm every night. So far in the last week I haven't done it once. It's like I get anxious right before bed because I know my day is going to start over tomorrow. I have to get up go to work, deal with the baby, do chores. I…
I have a "mutant" hair on my chin.
So I woke up and the left side of my bottom lip was all swollen and numb.
I might be getting sick. I've been feeling nauseous & stomach has been hurting for about 8 hours . Had a few dry heaves just now. Weirdly, I'm hoping it's food poisoning because that would only last 24-48 hours, right? I took a break at work & went to a bar w/ a friend. I started feeling nauseous when I got back &…
Aaaand, we're back! As promised, here are your terrible, terrible stories of TMI experiences, arranged (loosely) according to, er, topic.
Hosted by y'all's favorite oversharing redhead — Sorcia MacNasty! In this post yesterday, as well as this one, I noticed how much we all simply enjoyed sharing the various horrible things happening to us! I'd like to make this a regular weekly post. Every Thursday, we shall gird our loins and give way too much info…
I have been suffering from dry hands due to overwashing, and I'm now worried it might be a fungal infection. Basically after a ton of moisturizing (wearing lotion gloves all day) they still look scaly with whitish scales.
Okay seriously you guys. This is day 8 of my 2nd post partum period and it is showing no signs of slowing down. It's not that it's super heavy or anything. It's just that it's been a pretty consistent steady flow for the past 4 days straight. The first 4 days were what I would call the heaviest period bleeding of my…
