In which we marvel at how quickly a cat does bounce back from surgery. The further vet adventures starring Salinger!
Thank you again to everyone who has been keeping up to date on Sal and for your continued thoughts and asking for updates; it means a lot to the whole Smithwell family that so many people have expressed such love toward our Derptastic Tuxie. The Captain tipped his cap and said something naval. I think. It may have been from Star Trek. Anyway, whatever it was, it was meant genuinely.
Now, the moment you've all been waiting, for! HERE HE IS...!!
SALINGER 2.0: NOW WITH LESS TAIL DRAG
Everything with the surgery was "absolutely boring," according to my vet. He came out of it beautifully; I got to see him and hold him until he was sleepy enough to be put under, and was right there cageside as soon as he was stable from getting out of the anesthesia. There were absolutely no incidents overnight, and so we were cleared to bring him home this morning.
Got him home, got a few pictures, and we're keeping a close eye on him. He's already managed to casually "lose" his Supercat Cape that was supposed to protect him, and he hid it so well, we can't even find it. Sal is a ninja. Now he's under the bed, snoring away like having a tail removed is just what badass cats do on Fridays.
PS. PET PARTY THREAD! Show me your babies! Let's have a Fuzzy Saturday :)
