In another step towards ending the stupidity of gendering all things we give to children, the British newspaper the Indepedent will not review any books that are gendered, no glittery pink covers, no "for boys" or "for girls".

Its a small step but as the author says

"What we are doing by pigeon-holing children is badly letting them down. And books, above all things, should be available to any child who is interested in them."

The next big star of children's literature won't come in a with a big blue cover or have the words for girls after the title.
