So, during Thanksgiving week, I decided I would actually use my twitter account that I've been mostly doing nothing with. Seemed like I could do a fun, scholarly, and amusing project in the form of Autocorrecting the Canterbury Tales.

And then there was no indictment on Darren Wilson. And since I was on twitter anyway, I did some retweeting and tweeting related to that.

Somehow, I've started getting twitter followers. Like, twitter followers who aren't from GT (that I know of) and not from my department.

I mean, I don't think I come across as the best choice of follow for someone who describes themselves as

Proclaimer of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm a wife, mother, author.

But what do I know, I guess.

Also got followed by a Montreal phone sex domme. Looking at her tweets, she seems pretty cool. I'm cool with this, and going to follow back. She doesn't appear to be part of GT on twitter, though, so I have to wonder how she found me. What magic did this?

I got followed by an account which I think might just be a webcam service, because the only picture seems to be an advertisement showing a closeup of a woman from behind, with her panties pulled to the side.

On the other hand, the editors of followed me. I've until now never heard of the site.

I was briefly followed by Aristotle Quotes, and I followed because that seemed pretty cool. Then they started tweeting about camel toe, and I was like "Unfollow, this is stupid and not what I followed for", so they apparently unfollowed me too.

I also got followed by a twitter that seems largely to tweet news relevant to the trans community, which is nice. They also promise merchandise to be available soon, which my Marxist brain categorizes as less nice.

Halp. I don't understand this at all. What's going on?
