Things you learn while stuck with people for five day

I was going to do a long camping post and explain backstory for some of this shit, but reality hit me like a ton of bricks when I got home (sister shit, dnw to talk about it), so I really don’t have the energy. This is going to be a random list.

1. Teenagers these days are fucking AWESOME (amazing LGBTQA allies and far less bigoted than their predecessors)(or at least these teenagers were)
2a. Some people in older generations than me seem determined not to Get It when it comes to sex, sexuality, and gender
2b. Some people in older generations than me also apparently do not realize that they’re a bit racist
3. There’s a difference between preseverating and processing when it comes to traumatic events (it’s been over six months, you gotta move past this point at some point, dudes)
4. Wisdom comes from the mouths of babes (or in this case, quiet men who never talked around you before and FUCKING AWESOME teenage girls)
5a. It is hard to tell if someone is monogamous or poly (should I just ask the lady if I can go after the guy? ask her if they’re poly? also I suck at flirting so it’s not going to happen either way but stop confusing me please)
5b. Apparently I still have a thing for older men, of a certain type
6. The night is dark and full of terrors (and assholes who don’t understand quiet hours)
7. Feminist theory is hard to explain when drunk
8. I can drink like a tank and not get hungover (yay for being young and having responsible drinking habits)
9. My social anxiety is a lot better than it used to be and I barely questioned if these people actually like me at all
10. I might actually be likable

Anyway I missed you guys, and I’m trying to get caught up on what happened while I was gone. I hope that most of you all had a stellar week (I know some didn’t :( ).
