I complain a lot about the nature of tv these days. While it's true that there is amazing, groundbreaking art being created for the tv medium, I think it's equally true that families have very few shows that can be enjoyed by both kids and adults and that characters of color, in general, have become pushed to the sides to serve as "spice" in the main, white characters' story.
This list reminded me just how many shows I watched with my parents and younger brother, as a family, and how many of those shows were centered around characters who weren't white. I miss that.
(Also, A Different World was my number one top show as a child and I will DEFY anyone who speaks ill of it.)
