Hawsaw Ridge is an upcoming movie based on the story of Desmond T Doss, a pascifist conscripted into the US army during the Second World War. Doss served as a medic, and refused to carry a weapon due to his religious beliefs. Despite this, he was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honour after he saved the lives of 75 comrades at the battle of Okinawa.

Pro: The movie tells tells the story of a Concientious Objector. COs are often left out when the history books are written.

Pro: It has Andrew Garfield.

Con: It’s a Mel Gibson movie, and he is a horrible human being.
