I have things I want to share, so am making this an OT in case there are others with similar desires to share things with no clear threads in which to do so:

The good:

1. I won a junior investigator award today from the NIH. It’s just a wee award, but I am super excited about it.

2. I did a presentation for the PhD students today that seems to have gone over really well -so well they were still talking about it 30 mins later in a seminar we all attend. One of the deans was there and she emailed me afterwards that it was “brilliant” and told my mentor (who wasn’t there, sadly enough) it was “masterful.” I’m super happy about that bc I was so nervous to present in front of her.

The political

So, Ronny Jackson (the president’s MD) is alleged to be creating a hostile environment, to drink on the job, and to inappropriately dispense medication. Certainly he seemed odd/off when he spoke about Trump’s health -but Obama hired him, so I assumed he was mostly on the up and up. But if these allegations are true - did they start under Trump? Or did they exist under Obama? And if the latter, did Obama know? This really bothers me.

I do love Obama though - watch this and watch the Obama’s heads bopping around in the first row. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Tell me all about what’s going on for you!
