Is anyone else having a hard time with the constant posts on Lifehacker about dieting and weight loss? I keep commenting and looking and reading because I can’t look away, but it’s really hard for me because I have a history of disordered eating and on/off dieting and all kinds of messed up weight gain/loss/etc... I’m having a tough time with all the bros coming in saying “eat keto and you’ll lose 50 pounds immediately!” or whatever and making light of other people who are talking about legitimate struggles with dieting and whatever. I wish I could quit you, blog posts! Halp?

ETA: Oh my god I have to stop commenting on the latest post now after I got this GEM of a response (excerpt): “You losing 45lbs in a year at 5ft2in and 155lbs wouldn’t be an amazing feat; lots of people have achieved the same.” What the actual fuck, I actually laughed out loud at my desk. I am pretty sure people have only achieved that percentage of weight loss in a year from their starting weight by actually starving themselves. What a trip, man.
