My family of three (Mr. N, and 7-year-old Little N, and I) are planning a 10 day trip to the UK from California this Spring. We are thinking mostly London and 3 days in Edinburgh, but I have a few questions that maybe you all can help me with!

First, is there a hotel that you recommend staying at in London with a 7-yo child? We are looking at the Doubletree Marble Arch, and the Radisson Kensington, but are open to any and all suggestions. I have been to London once 11 years ago, and have NO idea what to look for. We also will not have a car and will be dependent on public transportation, so somewhere we can walk to a lot of the sites in the city is best.

Second, is there enough to do in Edinburgh to warrant staying 3 days? I think even just exploring the countryside is a good enough reason, since we will be in a big city for the 7 other days. Mr N thinks 2 would be sufficient. We are planning on taking the train from the King's Cross station in London to the Waverley station in Edinburgh and staying at the Apex Waterloo hotel there. Is the train the way to go? Is it economical?

Third (and this is the last one I promise!) , we will be there over Easter Sunday and want to make sure little N has an opportunity to do something fun. Are there any public activities that are fun for children that day? We lean very far toward the bunnies aspect of Easter and very far away from the resurrection stuff, so secular activities would be best!

Thank you thank you thank you in advance!

Edited to Add Bunnies!
