I know a few of us have gotten into HabitRPG to stay on top of our lives. I for one, thoroughly enjoyed the flowery "prank" yesterday. Now that I've gotten some XP on there, does anyone want to form a GT party so we can do quests? I'll set one up if there's any interest!

More info for people who have not gotten much into the gamified parts of the app:

Parties are groups of players who join together and can track each other's progress. While parties were primarily designed for community and accountability purposes, they are also integral to HabitRPG's quest system. A user must be a member of a party in order to start or participate in a quest, even if it is a party of only one player. There is no level requirement to create or join a party, so beginning players can get involved when they feel they're ready. Your party can host a wide variety of private challenges. The challenges for your party are located on the left hand side-bar under the party description. Clicking on the challenge redirects you to the social challenges page. This page enables you to find out more about the challenges and participate in them.

Quests allow players to focus on long-term, in-game goals through solo missions or with the members of their party. Anyone can participate in a quest, no matter their level, but in order to do so, the player must be in a party, even if it is a party of just one person and you are on a solo quest. Players need to obtain a quest scroll to start a quest. Ian the Quest Leader will appear when you read a quest scroll. The player who uses a scrolls and invites their party to join the quest is called the quest owner. A party can only participate in one quest at a time, the only exception being when a HabitRPG-wide quest occurs and users on the entire site is engaged in a battle together. There are two types of quests:

  • In collection quests, players are able to collect special drops by completing tasks, which count toward a party-wide total goal.
  • In boss battles, party members deal damage to an enemy by completing tasks, and take damage for the uncompleted Dailies of all quest participants, not just their own.

Update: we have some takers! Gaze upon our Party's Group ID and join!
