Thank you all for talking me off the "OMG I HAVE CANCER" cliff. I was far more relaxed going in and I think that helped because everything else that happened was disgusting.

It is an infected abscess. The doctor lady said we could do one of two things: I could get an injection of antibiotics and take oral antibiotics for a week and see if it goes down or she could give me an injection of antibiotics, numb the area, and the LANCE IT WITH A GODDAMN SCALPEL.

When she said the second option apparently I made this face:

So she said we'd try the first option and call to her if it gets any bigger or starts hurting any worse. I got an antibiotics shot to the buttock. It hurt. I am not a fan.

She said that if it starts oozing this is a GOOD THING because that means it's draining on it's own.

I'm starting the antibiotics tomorrow. She also said I should take a warm bath and massage it a bit to get blood flowing to the area and hopefully "break up the more solid parts".

At that point I just wanted her to stop talking because oh my god that's disgusting.

But YAY!! I don't have cancer!!!

ETA: I cannot for the life of me figure out how to put the darn gifs where they should be. It doesn't look like this in the editor. Oh well. Those were my emotions through the hideous process.
