So, question — when banks are making loan decisions, do they talk to your current/past landlords? I only ask because I had THE WORST slumlord for a year, and she was totally nuts. We were the world's most perfect tenants and she actually threatened, in writing, to evict us one time.

(I can speak volumes on this if people would be entertained, because it really is quite funny in retrospect — highlights include her slut-shaming me — but really I just want to know if landlord contact is a thing that banks do.)

ETA: I don't know why I originally said "years." I meant, for one year. I think the the whole experience seems elevated to epic status in my head because it was so absurd.
