I am canning and making sauerkraut because this weekend is weirdly cool so if I’m boiling water for canning for half the damn day, this is the day to do it.
Also I highly recommend making your own sauerkraut. Fermenting foods is fun!
Also also I never use my dishwasher because I live alone and much of my dishware comes from living pre-dishwasher and is not dishwasher-safe, but a few minutes ago I was thinking about how much a pain in the ass it is to wash all the jars for canning and then I realized WAIT MORON YOU HAVE A DISHWASHER.
So this is great. Question - the pickled peppers recipe I have calls for prepared horseradish. I don’t like horseradish, think I can skip it?
