Hey everyone. How’s it going? Reality continues to be...unbelievable at times. However, I’m proud to report that I’m finally taking a page from all the people who have been giving me advice to take a break. Next weekend I’m headed for a long weekend in NYC to shop and museum and Broadway. Two weeks from now, I am headed to crash with family in Florida for some R&R. This has been a hellish spring, and I’m so excited. Also a bit nervous for how travel and vacation will affect my hard-fought exercise and diet regime, though. Even with the best of intentions, it always messes me up. I have no understanding of those people who are like “I went to Italy for 2 weeks and ate cheese and bread for lunch with pasta and wine dinners and lost 10 pounds!” I hike, I run, I kayak, and still always gain weight.
