Essentially my home town anyway. I know ElJay42 and I both hail from Mercer County in west-central NJ. Really sad to see 3 young lives ended in an instant—one bad decision. Their poor parents.
I guess it seems pretty relevant to mention the case from Texas a few days ago, where a 16-teen-year-old killed 4 in a drunk driving accident and was sentenced to treatment for "affluenza". Exactly as it sounds, it's the psychological problems that affect children of privilege. Disassociating from bad decisions because of never seeing bad consequences or having to struggle, that sort of thing. Here's the NYT article on the whole story.
