I know, I know, it’s been a while since I’ve done a fashion post. I just haven’t felt up to it lately, my health is getting back on track after a serious illness, but the medication I’m on now made me gain 10 pounds in a month. And even though I love myself and feel that I can be and am confident at any size, there is just something about rapid weight gain that messes with your head.
Last week Wet Seal Plus had a sale where every piece of clothing was $15 dollars. You gotta be careful in these sales, because unless the item is usually over $30 dollars, it’s not that great of a deal. But it’s perfect for stocking up on dresses and jeans, items that run more pricey then tops.
A lot of the current dress trends are incorporating the 90’s babydoll dress shape, as well as the flowy shapeless tunic/swing dresses (seen in masses at Coachella). Neither of these shapes bode well for my more hourglass body that loves a defined empire waist or A-line skirt. None the less, I took a chance and bought a few.
I wish I felt more comfortable in these dresses, I really want to rock these styles, but I’m still unsure. I felt that if I photographed them and looked at them, I would get more used of the idea of what I see in the mirror. We’ll see!
Any way, for your viewing pleasure. All items from Wet Seal Plus. And the last photo shows me compared to the “plus size models” they used in the advertising (and it was just a coincidence that the model in blue and I both wore the same necklace!)
