I've been reading like a fiend recently. I got 12 books from the library all at once, so I have to finish them quickly. Some were good, some...weren't. So without further ado, this is what I've been reading NO SPOILERS AHEAD:

An Abundance of Katherines by John Green

I enjoyed (ie cried hysterically through) the Fault in Our Stars, which made me even more disappointed when I didn't enjoy this one. The footnotes were annoying, Colin was annoying, and as soon as I read the back cover I guessed the ending. And don't get me started on the math. I can't believe I finished this one. I really only did it because several people have asked me about John Green recently so I wanted to give an informed reply. I do have Looking for Alaska checked out. So I'll get to that one soon.

The Selection and The Elite by Kiera Cass

The Selection series is dystopia-lite meets the Bachelor (which I love, in case you didn't know that about me). And oddly, I feel the exact same way about the books as I do the show. I know they are horrible BUT I CAN'T STOP WATCHING/READING. Also, just how each 2 hour episode of the Bachelor could be told in 30 mins, this trilogy (plus 2 companion novels) could be one book. There is no reason (besides money) to drag it out this long. That all said, I am super invested AND IF MAXON DOESN'T PICK AMERICA I AM GOING TO FREAK THE FUCK OUT.

Annihilation by Jeff Vandermeer

I actually read a book written for adults. Honestly, I only read this book because of it's awesome cover. It's billed as sci-fi, but it wasn't overwhelmingly so. I really liked it initially, it really got me hooked, but then...it just got weird. Like, I have no idea what happened in the end. It's also a trilogy and the next 2 books are coming out this year; I'll probably only read them if they get great reviews.

Next on my reading horizon: The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker, Fun Home by Alison Bechdel, and The Host by Stephenie Meyer.

What have you finished recently? Did you like it?
