Over on Jez, someone commented that white women are going to be learning what it is like when you are arrested for protesting. At the protest I went to last week, 8 people were arrested, so it has been on my mind. I mentioned it would be great if Jez did a piece on that - to help people understand what happens. Does anyone over here know?
I know it varies city by city -and arresting officer by arresting officer. But can anyone talk about what happens, what you need to know beforehand, what the long term implications might be (like if it goes on your record, and if so - what are the implications for background searches for employment)?
