AKA OregonBeast's first orphan Thanksgiving, because he's 6.5 hours from his parents, 4 hours from family and didn't get a meal invite from his coworkers. He's also having a bit of a pity party, table of one.

Gilgamesh Whiskey Barrel Aged Bock (Salem, Oregon)- Aging beer in used liquor barrels is a real hit-or-miss proposition for me. The hard booze flavor is either unnoticible or super-overpowering. This is one of the few that hits that sweet spot in the middle. You notice a whiskey taste to the bock, but not so much that you feel it should be in a shot glass instead of a pint.

Pfriem Blonde IPA (Hood River, Oregon)- Probably talked about this before, but a damn good lighter-bodied IPA. Why am I drinking an light, summerish IPA in November? Because this is Oregon, and you will never, ever be able to avoid IPAs here. Ever. Don't ever try. Hide out in the woods all you want, the IPA will find you.

Burnside Brewing Thundarr the Barbarian (Portland, Oregon)- Yes, this is a beer named for an early 80s cartoon. It's a German Wheat Ale, and it tastes like straight bananas to me. Not bananas in the figurative sense, but in the literal sense. And I like bananas. And I bought a full growler of this. And it's 7.4%. God be with me tonight.
