What’cha makin’, everyone?
We have a houseful of sickies (oh, the joys of good old-fashioned influenza /s. 4 out of 5 kids have achy bodies, sore throats, fevers, and stuffy noses), so it’s homemade beefy vegetable soup and bread pudding or gf/df cheezecake for dinner here.
I had planned on making Hawaiian-style fried rice with leftover bbq pulled pork, sweet potatoes, and pineapple, but that didn’t sound like the best idea for all those sore throats. That’ll keep for a day or two yet.
I threw together a nice, warming, throat-soothing soup instead. Loads of veggies chopped finely, sirloin tips that I cut into teeny pieces, and gf orzo pasta. My housemate made the bread pudding. Using up leftovers FTW!
