I just posted that to Twitter, but no one follows me so I am asking it here. I feel like James Blunt’s “You’re Beautiful” is annoying and definitely over the line. It’s like “Jesse’s Girl” (which I think falls closer to the jealous/love end of the spectrum), but scarier. At least Rick Springfield knew Jesse’s girl. Although, the fact that she is known as “Jesse’s girl” isn’t exactly a feminist homerun.

Thoughts?

Watch at own risk.

Update: ImaginaryFiend has alerted me “You’re Beautiful” is about seeing his ex on the underground. Does that make it better or worse than if it was a stranger?
