So, instead of working, I decided I was going to do some cleaning that I don't get to very often. I'm pretty good about keeping things "in order" and picking up around my apartment, and hedgehim and I have a cleaning Sunday where we wipe down the kitchen, do extraneous dishes and do the laundry. But, pretty much everything else gets done when I suddenly decide that I should probably clean something (and hedgehim is usually quite happy to oblige, since this happens so rarely.)
I was wondering if any of you had a grown up schedule to get things cleaned. For example, I just vacuumed today because I couldn't remember the last time I had. I cleaned the kitchen sink for the first time since we moved in a year ago. I clean the bathrooms every time we have guests staying over, which is usually every few months.
How often do you all vacuum, dust, clean the toilets, wash the sheets, or de-fur the dog bedding? How do you schedule it so it doesn't become overwhelming? My method tends to make me realize how long it's been since the last time I've cleaned and then I have to clean all the things and that really sucks.
It gets pretty overwhelming.
