I ate Poutine!! Word of advice: when dining alone, don't try to finish an entire order of poutine from the "To Share" menu, no matter how delicious it is. I have a solid 2lb brick of potatocheesegravy in my tummy and I can't move too good, but OMG that was yummy!!

I'm just finishing up a stay in Jasper, Alberta, and I'm still waiting for the sun to go down, at 10pm. The light up here is astounding. It's on the same parallel as England and the angle of the evening sun on the mountains just make it all glow. If I were to ever take an artist retreat, I'd come back here. Remarkable, and the best climatic summer temperature I've ever felt. It feels like spring and fall, with crisp nights and warm-enough days. It's all clothes-wearing weather! And the water in the glacial lakes feels great after a few minutes. Like bathwater, once you get used to it.

In the morning, I head back to the 'States. I'm sure that in the next few days, I'll be trying to figure out how to get a job I like up here, or someplace similar to here. I'm sort of in love with this, you guys. Has anybody gotten a visa to work in Canada before? I'm thinking it might be time to try out Vancouver....
