For dry skin. Help?
So, winter is coming, and the heat's been on in my house for a few days. I went from being slightly dry and able to handle it with a good moisturizer to having to do full-face makeup immediately - I think our humidifier's broken.
What happens when my face is really dry is that it's itchy and sore - and gets red patches. So, while my summertime face routine is just sunscreen and a little concealer, my winter face routine is as follow:
- Heavy moisturizer, one I got from Lush that makes me greasy any other time of year.
- Liquid foundation
Anyone else get red patches like this? Do you cover them, and if so, how? I'm open to new ideas.
Edit: I should add - I have a really freckly face and look just completely wrong when they're covered up, which is why I usually don't fuck around with foundation or even powder (and why, probably, when I do, I straight up just do what they did in the 80s. What be primer?). So I do want to make sure I can do something about the redness without sacrificing looking like myself.
