Recently I experimented with making my own body sprays/body mists and it turned out amazing!! Unfortunately winter = more clothes on which means only I can smell myself. Now I want to try making my own body lotion. I recently asked y'all about cheap body lotions. And I looked at the cost effectiveness with respect to the quantity I use, and the good ones are pricey. Some of you recommended shea butter which sent me down the wormhole of Google research. Someone on a website mentioned a recipe for creating a mango butter+shea butter lotion. So more internet research ensued which said that this site is one of the best to buy pure butters.
Amazon definitely is cheaper to buy from however the reviews say that you cannot guarantee the quality of the shea butter. Some people got moldy butters while some got dirty ones with sand or hair in it.
I want to try making a lotion with mango butter, shea butter, coconut oil and a few drops of camphor oil (because the smell of camphor gets me high).
If anyone's interested in the body spray procedure, I use 4 oz water + 1 spoon witch hazel + ~20 drops of favourite essential oil (more or less oil depending on how strong you want it). For the perfume version you can use vodka instead of water. I'm not sure what else gets added because I don't like the alcohol smell I get from it, in spite of adding a shit ton of oils.
