Why didn't they taser her if she had a knife? Why was their first response to shoot her?
This comment says it all:
This what's gets me. The woman was shot dead by a police officer, and the Ann Arbor news thought it was important to mention that she had a criminal record? Why? As if her being shot to death, in her home, was related. It isn't. Her criminal record is listed for what, to give the readers a reason to think she got what she deserved?
My prayers go out to the DEAD woman's family and the officer who has to LIVE with the fact that he drew his gun, instead of his taser.
