I think it’s great that they’re getting together (and with an impressive advisory board) and actually trying to make a difference in Hollyweird. There’s the usual claptrap in the comments about “oh good, they’ll stop bitching at us white males” and “huh, lots of never married old women on that board”.
Heisendude works tangentially to the film industry and we talk a lot about the lack of diversity and how that originates at the studio/production level - it’s good to see people starting to work that angle, too. (It’s still two white women and one WOC, but I sort of see it as the responsibility of white women to open the door where they can. Don’t just slam it behind yourself.)
