So I just had a great date and a mutual good time was had. Dude walked me home and we side-hugged. I left things pretty wide-open for a kiss, but he didn't go for it. Guy had like, six strong drinks over the course of five hours, fwiw. He's going out of town Thursday. I really would like to see him again. I told him that I'd definitely be down for another date, at which he shuffled nervously and blurted non-committals. Dammit. I couldn't tell if it was because he was drunk and somewhat off, or because he didn't want to be put on the spot to say "no thanks".

Protocol? I'd like to send him a text tomorrow at some point to repeat the invite in case he's just fuzzy on it and actually does want to see me again. But I can't shake the feeling that I've already lost this one. Bummer. I really liked this guy, too. Heavy drinking notwithstanding. Tell me your victorious (or not-so-victorious) stories of similar situations, jezzies? I need more than a side-hug right now.
