So, I got a new job and I’m wondering what my attire should be. Some of the time I’ll be in the office and know I need to wear regular business attire. But the majority of the time I’ll be in the field visiting families. None of the families, mostly it’s the children I’m visiting, will notice or care what I wear, as long as I look professional enough to inspire confidence. In this field the attire can be fairly casual. In the field, though not in my particular agency, many people wear nicer jeans and blazers and such, though in my agency no one wears jeans. But when I’m in the field, no one in my agency will see me on those days so I’m wondering if I can get away with dark wash jeans, nicer shoes, and a good top, sort of business casual style of dress. My real issue is, after years of working from home, I don’t want to have to buy a whole new wardrobe to start work. I will if I have to but I don’t want to because oh my goodness do I HATE to shop!

What do you think?
