I know this is going to sound obtuse. Truth is, I'm have no idea what I'm doing. A while back I started a project with a friend to manufacture ethically produced, feminist, women's underwear. We're well on our way. In fact, we're so well on our way that it's time to write a business plan and start wooing investors. Problem is, business plans are mystifying for English majors like me. I know this is a shot in the dark, but does anyone have advice on drafting a business plan for a small start up looking for investors who might contribute between 5,000 and 10,000 dollars? We have our 1,2,5 year and long term goals, our mission statement and target consumer market down. The big thing I'm personally struggling with is what kind of market research we need to provide and how we make fiscal projections if we have started selling yet.
God, business school must be a doozey.
