A Friend posted a old, but thoughtful article about Yoga and cultural appropriation from XOJane to Facebook. I clicked on a link within that article to a court case back in 2013 where a judge ruled on whether or not a school district using Yoga as an exercise program constituted religion in school. That was where I found this little gem:

"But Meyer sided with the school district's explanation that its program has taken out any references to Hinduism and its liturgical language, Sanskrit. Yoga, the judge said, is similar to other exercise programs, such as dodgeball."

How much you want to bet that dodgeball is the only thing the judge remembers from Gym class?
