Yummy, easy, high protein snack you should make

Here is a super easy dish to make to stay warm on this awful snow day.

You need 2 cans of beans, lightly drained. I like pinto and black beans. 2 cooked chicken breasts, shredded. I would guess shredded pork or beef would be yummy too, but Iā€™ve never tried them. Let me know if you do! Mix everything into a pot with a 16 oz jar of salsa. The nice thing is that the salsa takes care of all the seasoning and you can use any flavors. I bet a mango or peach salsa would be amazing. Today I have smoked poblano pepper salsa. Anyway, simmer on low for about half an hour to warm everything through, stirring occasionally to break down the beans and help it all come together.

This is delicious as a dip with chips, or just eat it with a fork like chili (topped with cheese or sour cream with a side of cornbread, etc), or wrap it up as a burrito with some slices of avocado. I always make a huge pot because it keeps well and is so good.
