Today at the Farmer’s market, there was a woman selling various varieties of garlic. One variety in particular caught my eye, Bogatyr. It was described as one of the spiciest garlics, and I ended up picking up a bag of bulbs.

It’s sooooo, good. It has heat yes, but it is also very very garlicy.

I like to stock up on Ontario garlic in the summer and fall, because I prefer hardneck garlic to the softneck garlic that is usually in the grocery store.


I’ve had it in bruchetta, garlic bread, and on a fish sandwich for supper. And I am craving more already.
